Things I’ve read about the election today

I’ve been reading a lot of social media, which probably wasn’t healthy, but I’ve gleaned a couple of good articles from it, which I will share with you.

Fuck Everything And Blame Everyone. Sure, Trump and his voters are obvious targets. But there’s plenty of blame to go around. You may not want to read this if you’re too depressed already.

This one is good for optimists: Donald Trump Will Be President. This is What We Do Next. This is “we” as in Clinton voters or, maybe more so, Bernie Sanders fans, progressives, people against the corporate fascist mainstream who aren’t mollifying themselves with a boorish businessman with friends like the KKK. Catchy quote: “The people who run America have constructed a political system that’s like a glitchy killer robot, one even they can’t control anymore.” Then the author proposes some things we can do while we’re out in the wilderness.

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.
