So much for a post a day. I guess I don’t have 30 ideas in a month after all.

On Monday, I was going to post an announcement of my next music gig. Yes, there WAS a next music gig. But on Monday, I learned from the very apologetic venue owner that he had double-booked that date, then the proposed substitute date was also already booked. So the job of working out Plan C is in progress. I hope to make an announcement soon. I do actually want to play a show.

Other than that, there hasn’t been a lot going on. Plus, I realize that most of the articles and photos on the Internet that might be good for a “reblog” are in sources readers already look at, if they’re interested at all. So why pad my blog with a rerun, so to speak?

Well, I’ll keep trying to write here. I just have to admit NaBloPoMo isn’t quite happening here, that’s all. (National Blog Posting Month, fyi.)

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.

What do you do with your days?

Work, eat, sleep. Repeat. It’s not terribly thrilling.

I rarely write about work, because then I have to pay attention to my company’s social media requirements. It’s not that I would say anything intentionally to undermine the company, but I might blunder. For instance, there are occasional non-disclosure agreements, so I might be enjoined from mentioning a particular book (I think Hillary Rodham Clinton’s book last year was one such), even if we’re merely reprinting it in large type.

A few weeks ago, I worked on the memoirs of Sophia Loren. That made things a bit glamourous for a while. ๐Ÿ™‚
