Bye, Kyle

Musician and artist Kyle McBee is leaving Detroit. You probably don’t know him; I’ve never written about him here, I don’t think. Detroit’s Metro Times did a nice interview with him in their Music Blahg. I don’t know Kyle that well, but we’ve run into each other quite a bit in the last few years. He’s a force, maybe a bit tornadic at times, but he’s always seemed like good people to me. He’s performing “the last show” on December 12th at PJ’s Lager House. Before that, the record label he cofounded, Dead Letter Office, is having a showcase at the Lager House this Saturday.

Here’s wishing Kyle a good, creative life in California. Send us back some good stuff from time to time, huh?

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.
