A Christmas song that isn’t a parody

Thirty-two years ago, in the middle of my first semester at Northern, I wrote a Christmas-themed song. Eventually (late 2000 or 2001) I recorded it, and it's on my ReverbNation page for a limited time only: Christmas on the Road.

LJ would not let me embed any cute little widget from Reverbnation (or from one other place I've posted this). There's a function that LJ calls "Embed media" in some places, but seems to be only for embedding YouTube video links. Otherwise, it's not possible to embed Flash or HTML 5 widgets for some sort of security reasons — I spent a lot of time staring at LJ's FAQs only to figure this out. Funny, you can do that on Tumblr….

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.
