Halfway Across Iowa video

This is a version of my song “Halfway Across Iowa.” I shot it in December 2010 and only finished it up last night, mostly because I just wanted it done. Originally I had two other angles; angles 2 and 3 were done by replaying the song and refilming it to the soundtrack of angle 1. But those didn’t work out so well, and Windows Media Player doesn’t work out so well, so I scrapped the grandiose plans. It’s kind of static as a result, unfortunately. I like the title and credits, though.

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.

This was really nice. Thoroughly American! (Which is a good thing.)

Thanks! When I play it on stage, I sometimes say that it started off as a true story, but then the song went to California and I didn’t, so it became fiction. 🙂

Nice work! I almost missed it — glad I checked the previous posts.
