Put Pete Seeger back on the Billboard charts — c’mon, give a kid a break; he’s a mere 92. He would take over the title of the oldest Billboard chart-er from Tony Bennett, a relative infant at 85 when he did it. The song is Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young,” and is performed with The Rivertown Kids, a group of youngsters he’s been mentoring for a few years. The proceeds from the digital single go to Amnesty International, and it’s for sale in several countries including the UK, Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and the U.S. Check out the website above for more info.
I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.
