I’m a little late in this, but regarding the latest LJ kerfuffle: I have not enabled any links between LJ and Facebook or Twitter, so nothing posted here by me will be cross-posted to those sites automatically to my other sites. It would be best if users prevented such cross-posting of their comments, but I rarely if ever post anything private.

I do occasionally manually cross-post my own entries if they’re music-related. This is so I can occasionally add something to my MySpace profile in the vain attempt to make it look less moribund. I cross-posted my 8/29 entry to add a note to the Charlie Monterey Facebook page, but it was manual and strictly me-related.

It’s not just LJ, by the way. I noticed Yahoo added similar social connection features recently, and Google is always adding stuff. They’re all bound and determined to entangle us.

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.

I can sympathise with this logic; I have a nagging suspicion that my own new Samsung was selected, subconsciously, on the premise that I only have aphone so that I could repeatedly fail to answer it.

I don’t know if they were promoting the purple thing internationally; probably not. It’s not much of a statement if it’s not widely known. I mean, I didn’t even know of such a thing until I was well past the point of being dressed.

Thanks šŸ™‚ No one appreciates it more than she does. She was getting awful tired being so up close and personal with the entire health care profession all that time.
