Wild Rover No More (for now)

Finally back home from up north. I made it to the open mic on the main stage at the Hiawatha Music Festival on Sunday morning. Go me! Here’s a photo that the Ott Lake Rambler took to document the momentous occasion, which was experienced by about 34 semi-awake people and a whole lot of chairs and blankets (ah, the early mornings at festivals…).

Both festivals were great fun. I’m kind of glad to be home, but only because I get to sleep in my own bed again. More details when I get the chance to write it up.

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.
