It’s Curtains for Me

I finally got kitchen curtains, four days short of six months after getting the new windows.

I tried getting these a few months ago, but my decorating contractor (Fred Meijer) only had short tiers in. Tonight they had ones that pretty much fit my window. And they were 15% off

They’re not installed quite right yet, as you astute decorators can probably tell. But I’ll probably adjust the curtain rod eventually, and even put up the valances that came with them.

Yes, I’ve made an LJ post about home décor. That’s because politics is just too pathetic these days, the news makes me numb, and I’ve already done a meme for the week.

Fred Meijer = the department store Meijer, which everyone calls “Meijer’s”. Fred was the son of the founder, a Dutch immigrant near Grand Rapids, Michigan, decades ago. http://www.meijer.com/History.cms

About Charlie Montney

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I work from home most days leveraging resources to create shareholder value. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.

    Very cool!

The only improvement would be if the lighthouses were visible while your curtains were closed… and any light you had on in the house would be visible through the very top like a beacon, and….

    (WHAP!)

(Note to self – stay off LJ when under the influence of cold meds…)
