I just renewed my LJ paid account, and as I popped into my profile to see what the new expiry date is, I discovered that I not only have made 1,000 posts, I missed when I hit that milestone. For the record, the 1,000th post was on June 9th, 2008, “A couple of political statements.” Also for the record, I tend to miss other people’s birthdays too.
I’m supposed to be driving up north tomorrow. And I’m not packed yet. All together now: Eek! Well, I am partly packed—All the groceries I bought tonight were left in the car, as none of it needed refrigeration. Now all I need to do is load the camping gear, and figure out how I’m going to pack a week’s worth of clothes in a too-small duffel bag, and try to remember to buy ice and shampoo on the way out. I’m sure I’ll be fine once I’m driving. I just have to wake up and remember stuff before I’ve had coffee, that’s the challenge.
There might be a post on Monday or Tuesday, depending on
how much of an Internet withdrawal I’m going through whether I can find an Internet connection up north. They have Internet up there, no, really they do. Just not at Blissfest itself, because there’s no electricity except on the stage.
