Sayings from the Road

On the way home from work tonight, for a short while I followed a minivan that had this on a bumper sticker:

God doesn’t believe
in Atheists

Um… okay…

“If you don’t believe in me, then I won’t believe in you… how’s them apples?”

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.

Bless your big ole furry heart …

You’re so kind and always giving people the benefit of the doubt!

But, um, you really can’t expect capital-B Believers’ bumper sticker theology to be rational and adult.

  3. Take heart. The Flying Spaghetti Monster believes in everyone.

Billboard: If you must curse, use your own name. –God.

Bumpersticker politics: Annoy a liberal: Work – Succeed – Be Happy I see this one on the same rusty minivan frequently.

So much for God’s vaunted omniscience — we demonstrably exist.
