Snowstorm: The Aftermath

I shoveled snow for two hours, and spent another half hour pulling snow off my roof with the roof rake. It was cold and windy, and the snow was heavier than I thought it would be. But toward the end of the job, I was rewarded when the back edge of the cloud deck hove into sight and the best looking sunset in weeks took place.

Objects were prettier in real life than they appear in the photo. (It was a quick run-in-grab-camera-before-it’s-gone kind of thing. I didn’t take time to adjust any settings; that would’ve required taking off a glove.)

Now, I really could use a pain reliever of some kind, as most of my joints are all stiff and hurty from all the work.

About songdogmi

I'm a longhaired almost-hippie stuck in the inner suburbs of a major rust-belt metropolis who's thoughtful, creative, and kind of geeky. In exchange for a paycheck I run around in a cubicle maze most days. When I escape, I play music, hang out in coffee houses, dink around on the computer, take naps, and think I should be off in the woods somewhere. Every once in a while I get in my car and drive far, far away, though I've always come back so far.
